Introducing Amy and John ^_^

Dear GV Brothers and Sisters ~ Drum roll please..... Today we introduce our very special GV couple ~

Cowherd Boy John and Weaving Maiden Amy: "Neo Lan Jee Nwe", who anticipate their Special reunion on Magpie Bridge every Friday night at Maggie's!

John started working in Brentwood law firm in May, from Monday morning to Friday evening, then speeds south to meet the special girls in his life ~ Sweet wife Amy, 3-year-old Allison, and 6-month-old Avery!

Their love story is as unbelieveable as the taiwanese soap opera that I watch weekly! Amy, living in the east coast at the time, had an out-of-state friend who referred Mr. John to her, and they spoke on the phone for a few weeks. One day, Miss Amy decides to visit Mr. John in Downey, California for a few days, and stayed w/John and parents. It was perhaps love at first sight! When John sent off Amy at the airport, they both could not imagine not seeing one another indefinately.

John, in an effort to grasp the 'red thread' of love & fate that bound them together ~ began to sing softly as they walked reluctantly toward the departure gate....Suddenly, he fell to his knees, sparkling diamond ring in hand, and proposed to her. Amy nodded gently as tears streamed down her cheeks.

In the meantime, Amy's parents never met the new son-in-law-to-be, but trusted their daughter's keen eyes. They finally did meet their son-in-law.... during the wedding ceremony in Taiwan! The 'matchmaker' friend didn't see the two lovebirds until the wedding day too! We reckon they could create fireworks all on their own ~ and just needed help from friends to light a tiny spark!

Let us continue to pray for this cute and affectionate couple as they continue their walk with the Lord, and journey with them in their marriage and parenting.
