The Heat is On! Dads on the Field!

After a peaceful and wonderful Sunday worship, the dads Duke it out in the dust at a baseball field near our church.

How can we thank God enough for you in return for all the joy we have in the presence of our God ~ becasue of YOU? (1 Thessalonians 3:9)

While the dads toil and labor by the sweat of their brows, the moms hang out by the trees chatting ~ finally yielding to the temptation to eat (the unforbidden) fruits and junk food!

The kids are left to Fend for themselves (or as the chinese saying goes: Let cow eat grass...literally), while moms continue to snack and discuss latest news (of sales, fashion, diets) and graphic C-section experiences. Time flies and after 3 hours, we still didn't play volleyball!

The boys join the game with daddies after they finish chinese school (or take a nap after church)!

As an early Father's Day Tribute to all the dads ~ Do you guys realize how GORGEOUS you look when you are coaching our little ones? It shows your love, commitment and solidarity!

Special Thanks To: Sheila and Tim ~ for taking in leftover GV baseball families who stopped by to visit at the last minute. We felt the love and warmth of your love (and food), and our kids had a wonderful time in your game room and yard (esp. the hammock)! Tony was inspired by Tim's Mother's day gift for wife ~ Trip to Taiwan to be w/Sheila's mom, so he said (listen up, gals!): "How about you moms go on a 2 day getaway next Mother's day?" So I'm writing this for the record, so we can revisit this idea in 11 months!

We also witnessed Tim's love and thoughtfulness to wife when he texted her seconds after the earthquake last night (we were all still in Sheila's living room) with, "Honey, are you alright?", to which she texted back, "I'm ok" (and I love you, sweeetheart!!). May the Lord continue to bless your family as you love and serve the Lord and others!
