I am grateful for their love and care for every family in our fellowship. Lately we have deepened our understanding of one another through Tony's invitation to our Baskeball, Ping Pong, and Baseball Time! This gathering is a really wonderful idea, in addition to our Friday Bible studies, and I experienced spiritual and physical renewal during these times!
Erinn and Tony's love for brothers and sisters here is shown in the different ways they bring us together. The encouragements through their emails, sharings, outdoor events, prayer requests, and blog ideas are evident of their heart for us all.
When boy meets girl: It was 1999 at a concert in EFC Irvine! Mr. T was an usher, his cousin invited Erinn to enjoy the concert (unbeknownst to her ~ it may be a matchmaker's set-up!) After the concert, they were introducted to each other. Erinn let her guard down at the initial meeting, since she has decided that he's not her type ~ based on a dinky tie he was wearing that one fine night.
Later that week, he called her, but strangely she was often not home. Erinn mom (future mother-in-law) tells Tony that, "Hey, Erinn in going to sing at a concert soon!" And so Tony goes, and later on they chatted. The 2nd time around, Tony wears a handsome white polo shirt ~ which stole Erinn's heart! That polo shirt was the key to future dates, and before the year was over, Tony propsed to Erinn after one of her recitals! So guys, this is something to pass on to your single friends when they go on first dates or matchmaking gathering!
As a good role model for our GV family, they have shown by example to be the first (of all families) to courageously raise THREE children too! There's Matthew (age 6), Solomon (almost 3) and Bethany (8 months)! They have their own assemblyline in daily routines, which is: Matthew independently bathing and sleeping (after praying with him). Solomon bathed by big bro, mom, or dad. Bethany bathed by whoever is available. Matthew sleeps first, Bethany fed and sleeps alone, and Solomon oftentimes the last to go down ~ hanging out with mom and dad as late as possible. This is a true act of Love (and juggling), my friends!
It is wonderful to seeing them serve our Lord together in different capacities, be it GV fellowship or Praise & Worship. May the Lord continue to guide them as they serve Him faithfully!
I will wear white polo shirt more ^^
